Crotch Lake has giant Jumbo Perch. You will catch small Perch all day long while Walleye fishing close to the weeds. On a normal day you should catch a few that are big enough to keep.
Here is the strange thing. The giant Perch seem to only hit when it's raining or at least spitting. When it starts raining the Walleyes stop feeding and the Perch come out to the edge of the weed lines and start feeding ferociously.
The largest Perch so far was caught by a lady from South Dakota. I was guiding her and her granddaughter and we went into Twin Island Lake and she caught a 13.75" Perch. I thought she had a small Walleye on her line.
